New Releases: May 12

After a weekend in NYC watching the Mets collect the 6th of their now 7 straight wins, and drinking plenty of Brooklyn Brewery beers (if you’re ever able to attend, their Friday Happy Hour is excellent), I’m back to Rochester and reality. Let’s get after the week’s new music.

Green Day is obviously the big release this week, but I can’t really say that I care about a new Green Day release, and they’re being weird and releasing it on Friday. Beside that, there are new albums from Cam’Ron and Paul Wall, and if you actually like good music, there’s the Jeremy Enigk and Maximo Park albums, and not much else. If you must have some more, check the listing over at Amazon. Have a great week everyone.  And as always, there are a couple tracks after the list.

Green Day – 21st Century Breakdown (May 15)
Steve Earle – Townes
Better than Ezra – Paper Empire
The Church – Untitled #23
The Crystal Method – Divided By Night
Cam’Ron – Crime Pays
Jeremy Enigk – OK Bear
Paul Wall – Fast Life
Maximo Park – Quicken the Heart
Graham Coxon – Spinning Top
Black Label Society – Mafia

Jeremy Enigk – Life’s Too Short (mp3) from the forthcoming OK Bear

Maximo Park – Wraithlike (mp3) from the forthcoming Quicken the Heart
