The Thermals

With news that the band The Thermals have moved to the label Kill Rock Stars from Sub Pop and will have a new album titled Now We Can See out April 7th, both Tympanogram and the rest of the blogosphere are all atwitter.

I was late to the game in catching on to The Thermals. My first exposure came a few years ago when I heard the band’s third full length album The Body, The Blood, The Machine. The record is essentially about a fascist Christian state with religiously laced lyrics that are both sarcastic yet sound to me as almost hopeful.

Read an interview about The Body, The Blood, The Machine here and enjoy an older mp3 below along with the title track from the upcoming album.
