Today for my 1K I’m going to actually go with two songs off what is perhaps my favorite album of all time. If it isn’t my favorite then it is certainly within the top five and I could probably select each of the songs from the album to be part of this project. But today instead I will focus on two songs in particular and then we’ll see later if the others will make the cut. I’m not going to say much because I want to save some words for when I ultimately write about this record as an essential.

I had seen them live some years ago on tour with stellastarr* and the killers, they were quite nice, but never really broke the threshold. Sad.

It feels good to know that someone else feels the way I do about this record. Since it came out, its been on pretty consistent rotation, and is definitely in my top 5 as well. The good news is they are back in action, gigging and working on some amazing new material.
