Today I lop off two more chunks of the remainder of my 1000 minutes with two shorter songs. I don’t know why but I don’t want to get too far ahead of Andy in terms of time used up. We have far too many minutes remaining for this to possibly be a concern, but oh well.
13. Nada Surf – Blizzard of ‘77 (mp3) from Let Go (2:09) [Time Remaining: 947:05]
Great opener to an album. I had this album for a year or so before I gave it its proper due. I had listened to it but not exactly appreciated it for what it was. There are several standout tracks, this obviously being one of them for me.
14. Eels – Novocaine for the Soul (mp3) from Beautiful Freak (3:08) [Time Remaining: 943:57]
I’ve liked this song for a very long time. I’ve never gotten sick of it because it is pretty damn awesome. It’s hard to believe I was barely a teenager when this song was released but I still appreciate it.
