The editors of this blog are certain that, as long as there continues to be art of any variety, there will be debate as to whether or not certain pieces actually fit the definition of art. Truthfully, we’re probably not qualified to render judgment either way. The general public can weigh in on debates like that, and we’ll stick to working on a case-by-case basis.
And as far as the case we have before us today is concerned – Phoenix’s Death to the Throne’s reworking and piecing back together of three M.I.A. tracks and serving it up with a thick layer of beats – we’re siding with the artist. It’s a work of art, and it fucking bangs.

This is pritty good. Dunno if you are familliar with the “hardcore, hardstyle” phenomenon from (among others) the Dutch, but this is, altough slower, very similar. Nice one…
